PROJECT OVERVIEW
For Yinka Ilori’s installation at Bloomingdale’s, Joya developed a limited-edition candle collection and scent experience extending the artist’s use of color, pattern, and storytelling into fragrance.
My contribution connected three elements: candle packaging featuring Ilori’s artwork, a sculptural atomizer enclosure derived from the candle vessel, and an interactive stamping experience using scented inks and seed-embedded plantable paper.
The paper extended Ilori’s flower motifs and community-building practice beyond the installation. Visitors could create a scented print, take it home, and plant it—allowing the interaction to grow into wildflowers.
Together, these elements carried the collaboration across product, environment, and public participation.
“Ilori’s wildflowers remind us that creativity can sprout in the most unexpected of places.”
