Digital 18:05:80

“Digital 18:05:80…the absent presence of Curtis is everywhere.”

— Adrian Searle, The Guardian

Digital 18:05:80 is an interpretation of Ian Curtis, the seminal post-punk singer and lyricist of Joy Division. The work portrays Curtis’s face in a trance, emerging from a 9.70 × 6 × 1.75-inch solid of matte white, cold-cast porcelain proportioned according to the golden mean.

It is the second work in my Musical Muses series, following Half a Person: Morrissey.
